Most nutrient labels quietly assume you're filling your reservoir with soft or RO water. Most British growers aren't. Hard tap water arrives already carrying calcium, and the bicarbonates in it drag your pH upwards all week, so you end up pouring in pH down just to stand still.

IONIC Hard Water Grow is built for the water you've actually got. It neutralises the bicarbonates behind the pH climb and is made on high-grade nitric acid, so you need less correcting acid. The calcium is balanced to allow for what your tap water already supplies, and the potassium to nitrogen ratio is set for strong vegetative growth. One bottle, no A and B.

If you fill your hydro kit, Kratky jar or bucket system straight from a hard-water tap, this is the feed for you. Herbs, lettuce and leafy greens get everything they need without you having to buy RO water or fight a rising pH every few days.

For Growers

The vegetative base feed for hydro on hard or mains tap water. Switch to IONIC Hard Water Bloom when flowering starts. On soft or RO water, use IONIC Hydro Grow instead.

Dose: 5ml/L in weeks 1–3, rising to 6ml/L from week 4. EC runs a little higher than the standard Hydro range to allow for hard water's own minerals.
When to use: weeks 1–5 of the grow cycle.
Booster: pair with IONIC Root Boost at 0.5–1ml/L.
Cal-mag: not part of the routine hard water schedule. Only add a cal-mag supplement if you see a recognised deficiency.

Rose's Pro-Tip: Add products to the tank one at a time, stirring between each, and never mix concentrates neat. Measure every dose: eyeballing is where most feed problems start.
