Usage

As with all products, test compatibility before routine use. Pythoff is not compatible with hydrogen peroxide or beneficial bacteria.

Background

Slimes and algae can cause disease and block plumbing components such as drippers, filters and pumps. They're also a food source that attracts pests. To help prevent them:

• Make sure your nutrient solution isn't exposed to light
• Be aware that many organic additives, such as carbohydrates and sugars, can encourage slime growth
• Pre-treat stored water and surface water before using it in a hydroponic system
• Replace recirculating nutrient solution routinely and clean filters frequently
