Essentials Lab pH+ & pH- pH Up & Down

Precise pH Control, Up or Down

Plants can only take up nutrients when the feed is in the right pH range. Tap water, nutrients and additives all shift pH, so most hydro and coco growers adjust every batch.

Essentials LAB pH+ and pH− are highly concentrated, so a few drops adjust a whole bucket. Choose pH+ to raise pH, pH− to lower it, or one of each.

Why It Works

• pH+: 50% potassium hydroxide, raises pH
• pH−: 30% phosphoric acid, lowers pH
• Concentrated: small doses for big volumes
• Any medium: hydro, coco and soil

For Houseplant Growers

Growing in LECA or semi-hydro, or watering acid-loving plants with hard tap water? A bottle of pH− lets you bring your water into the right range.

For Growers

• Method: add your nutrients first, then adjust pH a few drops at a time, stirring and re-testing between each
• Target: 5.8–6.5 for most hydro and coco; around 6.0–7.0 for soil
• Measuring: use a syringe for accuracy; it's sold here as an option

🌿 Rose's Pro-Tip: Go slowly. It's easy to overshoot with concentrated pH adjusters, and swinging back and forth stresses plants more than being slightly off.
