Cell Charge – Field Marshal
Cell Charge – Silicon Additive for Sturdier Stems and Tougher Leaves
Silicon is the quiet structural engineer of the plant world. It isn't one of the headline nutrients on the front of a fertiliser bottle, and most potting composts contain very little of it in a form plants can use. Yet when it's available, plants lay it down in their cell walls, the way builders add steel to concrete. The result is a plant that stands up straighter, holds its leaves firmer and copes better with life's rough patches. Field Marshal Cell Charge supplies silicon in a readily available form so your plants can do exactly that.
Field Marshal designed it for bushier, deep-green leafy growth and for a cell structure strong enough to carry heavy crops. Stronger cell walls also help plants tolerate heat, cold and periods of over- or under-watering that would otherwise set them back.
Perfect For
Tall or top-heavy plants such as tomatoes, chillies, peppers and sunflowers; large-leaved houseplants and aroids that flop under their own weight; cuttings and young plants that need sturdier stems; plants growing under strong LED lights or in warm conservatories; and soil, coco or hydroponic setups.
Key Benefits
- Strengthens cell walls for sturdier stems and branches
- Helps plants carry heavy fruit and flower trusses
- Supports bushier, darker green leafy growth
- Improves tolerance to heat, cold and over- or under-watering
- Suitable for soil, coco, hydroponics and foliar use
How to Use
Hydro and coco: 1ml per litre of nutrient solution. Soil: 0.5–1ml per litre. Foliar spray: 0.5ml per litre of water.
Silicon is alkaline, so mixing order matters. Add Cell Charge to plain water first and stir well, then add your other feeds, and check and adjust the pH last.
Feeding Schedule
From the official Field Marshal feed charts, in ml per litre:
| Stage | Coco & hydro | Soil |
|---|---|---|
| Propagation, weeks 1–2 | 1ml | 0.5ml |
| Leafy growth, weeks 1–2 | 1ml | 0.5ml |
| Flowering, weeks 1–8 | 1ml | 0.5ml |
| Final week | Water only | Water only |
🌿 Rose's Pro-Tip: once silicon is laid down in a leaf, it stays there, and the plant can't move it to new growth. That's why Field Marshal recommend using Cell Charge at every feed rather than as an occasional top-up: each new leaf needs its own supply as it forms.
