Sturdy Stalk contains an abundant source of silica, which thickens stems and strengthens branches so they can support more weight. It works on each cell individually, strengthening the outer walls. Stronger cell walls make for stronger plants, so you can expect improved growth rates and bigger crops.

How Sturdy Stalk Works

Think of the cells as the bricks in a wall, and the cell walls as the cement. Stronger cement means a stronger structure overall, so plants are better able to carry heavy fruit and rely less on support nets.

The same strengthening also helps against pests and diseases: insects find it harder to penetrate leaves, and plants become more resilient to bacteria, fungi and environmental stress. Silicon also raises chlorophyll levels, boosting photosynthesis for faster growth and a better end product, and helps plants regulate water loss.

How To Use

Use from the moment your cuttings or seedlings develop roots, right up to the final flowering stage. Add at 1.3ml per litre of nutrient solution, stopping two weeks before harvest.

Never mix nutrients, boosters or additives together in their concentrated form. Add each to your reservoir or feed water in turn, stirring well before adding the next.
