CANNA COGr Buffering Agent – Coco Board Preparation
CANNA COGr Buffering Agent – Prepares COGr Coco Boards for Planting
Fresh coco coir has an awkward habit: it grabs calcium and magnesium from your feed and hangs on to it, releasing potassium and sodium in return. Plant straight into unbuffered coco and your plants can show calcium and magnesium deficiencies even when you're feeding them perfectly. CANNA COGr Buffering Agent fixes that before you plant. It "pre-loads" the coco with the right minerals, so it's stable and neutral from day one.
It's made specifically for preparing CANNA COGr boards, the compressed coco slabs that expand into grow bags. Each board makes 21–25 litres of coco.
How to Use
- Shake the bottle well.
- Dilute at 20ml per 10 litres of water. Recommended EC is 1.4–1.6 mS/cm (from 0.0 EC water) and pH 5.5–6.2.
- Pour 12.5 litres of solution onto each COGr board and leave it to swell for at least 24 hours.
- Drain off any surplus solution and cut drainage slits in the base of the bag.
One application per crop. At 20ml per 10 litres, 1 litre makes 500 litres of solution, enough for around 40 boards.
🌿 Rose's Pro-Tip: don't skip the drainage slits. A buffered board left sitting in its own surplus solution stays waterlogged, and roots need air from day one.
