BudPlus Coco 70/30

A clean, ready-to-use mix of 70% buffered coco coir and 30% high-grade perlite, made from RHP-certified coco. Buffered to prevent nutrient lock-out and pH-stabilised for consistent results.

Why a 70/30 Mix?

• Even moisture: coco holds water evenly through the pot, so roots don't swing from soaked to bone dry.
• Air at the roots: the perlite keeps oxygen pockets open, reducing the risk of overwatering and root rot.
• Gnat-resistant: clean coco gives fungus gnats far less to breed in than standard peat compost.
• No fertiliser burn: a buffered, EC-controlled base is gentle on freshly repotted roots.

• Calathea, Maranta and Stromanthe: prayer plants that need constant, even moisture
• Pothos, Scindapsus, heartleaf Philodendron and Syngonium
• Ferns, Fittonia and Peperomia
• Seed starting, cuttings and propagation

Potting a Monstera, Alocasia or Anthurium? These chunky-rooted climbers want even more air around their roots. Our LECA & Coco 60/40 mixes are the better match.

Feeding Tips

• Use a coco-specific feed, such as CANNA or Intense Coco A&B.
• Start feeding from the first watering.
• Aim for a feed pH of 5.8–6.2 for best nutrient uptake.
