Galvanised Duct Y Piece – Metal Ducting Splitter
Galvanised Duct Y Piece – One Fan, Two Rooms
The obvious way to ventilate two spaces is two fans, two holes in the wall and twice the wiring. The clever way is often one decent fan and a Y piece. This galvanised steel fitting splits a single duct run into two branches, or merges two into one, at a gentle angle that keeps air flowing smoothly rather than slamming into a corner.
That smooth angle is also why a Y piece is more versatile than a T piece: it works whether you're pushing air out to two places or pulling it in from two, where a T piece is best suited to extraction only.
Perfect For
Extracting from a bathroom and en-suite with a single fan, combining two extract points in a workshop or garage, splitting fresh-air supply between two areas, dust and fume extraction from two machines, and greenhouse or outbuilding ventilation.
Key Features
- Splits one duct into two, or joins two into one
- Angled branches for smooth, efficient airflow
- Works for both supply (push) and extraction (pull)
- Precisely made from high-quality galvanised steel for a low-leak fit
- Durable and reusable
How to Fit
Connect ducting or fittings to each of the three outlets and seal each join with aluminium foil duct tape or jubilee clips.
🔧 Pro-Tip: splitting a duct also splits the fan's power. If you're running two branches from one fan, choose a fan rated comfortably above what a single room would need.
