Equal numbers of Koppert Spical Plus (spider mite predators) and Koppert Thripex (thrips predators) breeder sachets in one order, for less than buying them separately. The tradeoff: like all live predators, they need humidity, have to be hung as soon as they arrive, and work best before an infestation gets out of hand.

Two pests cause most houseplant heartbreak. This covers both.

Ask any collector what ruined their favourite plant and the answer is nearly always spider mite or thrips. Both are tiny, both breed fast, and both are usually discovered a fortnight too late. Buying protection for one and not the other is like locking the front door and leaving the back one open.

This pack gives you both locks. Spical Plus sachets release Neoseiulus californicus, which hunt spider mites at every life stage. Thripex sachets release Neoseiulus cucumeris, which pick off thrips as they hatch. Each sachet works for several weeks, and together they cost less than a single replacement plant.

What's in the bundle

• Starter (5 + 5): 5 Spical Plus sachets and 5 Thripex sachets, for a small collection.
• Collector (10 + 10): 10 of each, for a shelf, cabinet or small grow tent.
• Plant Room (25 + 25): 25 of each, for big collections, conservatories and greenhouses.

🌱 Rose's Pro-Tip: Both predators hate dry air (Spical struggles below about 60% humidity and Thripex below about 70%), so they work best in tents, propagators, cabinets, bathrooms and greenhouses. Hang them on different plants, or at different heights on bigger ones, in the shaded middle of the foliage. Replace every 3–4 weeks for continuous cover.

How to Use

1. Use straight away: These are alive. Hang them the day they arrive.
2. Don't open them: Each sachet already has an exit hole. Hold it by the tab.
3. Hang in the shade: Middle of the plant, out of direct sun and away from heaters.
4. Skip the sprays: Most insecticides will kill your predators too.
5. Not for tomatoes: Koppert advise against using either on tomato plants.
