Xtreme Gardening Azos – Nitrogen-Fixing Beneficial Bacteria for Rooting & Growth
Xtreme Gardening Azos – Nitrogen From Thin Air
The air around every plant is nearly 80% nitrogen, the nutrient plants need most for leafy growth. The catch is that plants can't use it in that form. Azos fixes that. It's a powder containing Azospirillum brasilense, a naturally occurring beneficial bacterium that lives around roots and converts nitrogen from the air into a form plants can actually absorb. It also stimulates root growth, which makes it especially useful for cuttings and transplants.
What It Does
- Faster rooting on cuttings, with less transplant shock
- A steady natural nitrogen supply for lush, green vegetative growth
- Works alongside your feed, organic or mineral
- Soil, coco, rockwool and hydroponics
How to Use
| Use | How |
|---|---|
| Cuttings: plug soak | 4 tablespoons per 3.8 litres of water. Soak plugs or rockwool cubes for 10 minutes. |
| Cuttings: dip | Mix 1 part Azos with 2 parts water and dip the cutting tips for 3 seconds before setting them in plugs. |
| Watering through growth | About 2 tablespoons per 19 litres of water, applied weekly through the growth stage. |
For best results, use warm (18–27°C), unchlorinated water adjusted to around pH 6.0. Stop using Azos once plants start flowering, and don't combine it with synthetic rooting hormones.
Perfect For
- Houseplant propagation and repotting
- Vegetables, herbs and fruit in the growth stage
- Organic and low-input growers
- Growers in any medium, through propagation and veg
🌿 Rose's Pro-Tip: Azos is alive, so treat it gently. Mix it in fresh water just before use, and never into a hot reservoir or straight after a pH Down or Liquid Oxygen dose.
