New Millenium Winter Frost 940ml – Late-Bloom Ripening Additive for Aroma, Flavour & Colour

Most feeds are built for the middle of the season, when plants are busy growing. The final week before harvest gets ignored, which is odd, because it's when the things you actually notice are decided: aroma, flavour, colour and how full the fruit and flowers finish. Winter Frost from US brand New Millenium Nutrients exists for that one overlooked week.

The idea is borrowed from nature. When an annual plant senses the first frost of winter, it stops investing in leaves and pours everything it has left into its fruit and seed. New Millenium designed Winter Frost to send a similar "season's ending" signal, without the actual cold. They describe heavier essential-oil production, fuller fruit and flower development, and, in responsive varieties, purple, red and burgundy colour shifts as the plant finishes.

What New Millenium Say It Does

  • Heavier essential oils: richer aroma and flavour in the final days before harvest.
  • Fuller fruit and flowers: redirects the plant's last energy into bulking up rather than new growth.
  • Late-season colour: purple, red and burgundy tones in varieties that can show them.
  • Brings out each variety's character: helps individual plants show their true traits.
  • Works with any feed and any growing medium: a standalone finisher, so you don't need to switch brands.

Perfect For

  • Tomatoes, chillies & peppers: the last week before you pick, for flavour and colour.
  • Strawberries & soft fruit: fuller, more aromatic fruit at the end of the season.
  • Aromatic herbs: basil, mint, rosemary and other oil-rich herbs before cutting.
  • Flowering plants: deeper late-season colour in responsive varieties.
  • Soil, coco and hydroponic setups, indoors or in the greenhouse.
  • Any feeding programme: CANNA, BIOBIZZ, Plagron, Terra Aquatica, Grenade and more.

How to Use

  • Shake well before use.
  • Dose: 5–10ml per US gallon, which is about 1.3–2.6ml per litre. Start at the low end.
  • When: the final 5–7 days of flowering or fruiting only.
  • Then: switch to plain water for 7–10 days before harvest.
  • Don't use at any other point in the season, and don't add it to the plain-water period.

Feeding Schedule

Flowering length Winter Frost week Then plain water
8 weeks Week 8 (1.3–2.6ml/L) Week 9
10 weeks Week 10 (1.3–2.6ml/L) Week 11
12 weeks Week 12 (1.3–2.6ml/L) Week 13

Use your normal feed and boosters up to the Winter Frost week. In fast-draining or daily-watered systems, some growers shorten the window to about 5 days.

Winter Frost vs Other Late-Season Products

  • vs PK boosters (e.g. CANNA PK 13/14): PK boosters are used mid-bloom to build flowers and fruit. Winter Frost is much lower in P and K (0.2-2.2-2.3) and comes after your boosters have finished.
  • vs Terra Aquatica FinalPart: FinalPart replaces your base feed for the last 1–2 weeks. Winter Frost is a 5–7 day standalone step that works after any nutrient line.

Rose's Pro-Tip

Put your harvest date on the calendar before you open the bottle, then count back: plain water for the last 7–10 days, and Winter Frost for the 5–7 days before that. It only earns its keep in that short window. Start at the bottom of the dose range on your first run, keep notes, and nudge it up next time if your plants respond well.
