It is an extraordinary way to court failure. The fragile embryonic phase of a plant's lifecycle demands absolute physical precision—specifically, a substrate that can retain vital moisture without suffocating developing root hairs.

Enter the Jiffy-7 Peat/Coco Mix Pellet. Rather than forcing you to juggle messy bags of soil or compromise with purely single-source media, these expertly engineered hybrid plugs combine the superior water-holding capacity of premium sphagnum peat with the exceptional structural aeration of coco coir. When hydrated, they expand into a stable, highly optimized cylindrical matrix. It is a brilliantly rational piece of propagation engineering designed to eliminate transplant shock entirely.

The Rather Splendid Key Features:

The Hybrid Equilibrium: Blends the moisture-retentive properties of peat with the airy, non-compacting nature of coco coir—striking an ideal balance that heavy-drinking seedlings and vigorous clones desperately require.

Shock-Free Transplants: Enclosed in a biodegradable, earth-friendly netting that keeps the plug completely intact during handling. When the root network establishes, you plant the entire disc directly into your final media without ever disturbing the roots.

Universal Compatibility: Wonderfully agnostic. Whether you are running traditional soil, custom coir substrates, or precision liquid-feed and NFT setups, these plugs integrate seamlessly into any workflow.

Space-Saving Efficiency: Supplied as compact, dry discs that expand rapidly upon hydration to a standard 39mm x 42mm format, eliminating storage bulk and mess.

Application Protocol (For Optimum Germination):

Hydration: Arrange your dry pellets in a standard propagation tray and apply lukewarm water. Allow 5 to 10 minutes for them to expand fully.

Drainage: Gently decant any pooling or excess water from the tray. You want a moist, highly aerated environment, not a swamp.

Planting: Insert your seed or clone cutting directly into the pre-formed central aperture.

The Environment: Position your tray under appropriate lighting or inside a humidity dome, and let the biology do the rest.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0774/9861/4106/files/rn-image_picker_lib_temp_71ade2b3-8f9a-42ae-b60c-7cbe7d9f188a.png?v=1789852349
